Fresh Starts
Here’s the goal of every person I know at the start of a new year: We all want to get that A+ for our efforts. So for me, I took a few minutes to evaluate what I can do to make the most of my fresh start this year.
The first action came by starting with the few things that were really important to me last night, this equates to a strong start. The next step came this morning in pulling myself out of bed earlier than I’d have liked (you can’t know how monumental this task is). By 9:00 a.m. I was satisfied by all the things that were done or started, and feeling a burst of confidence I tackled my Google reader.
I had to make some tough decisions this morning regarding my blog subscriptions and my desired A+ for my computer time. I’m changing my plan of attack after evaluating how much time I spend keeping up daily with so many blogs. I’m going to set aside one or two days a week to read through blogs I enjoy and keep on my blogroll, and I’m only going to subscribe to blogs that give back the level of value and investment I’ve made in keeping up with them. I already feel a wave of relief and confidence that this will work better for me.
With a summer trip planned to Long Beach Island, the motivation is bigger to follow through with the physical goals that are now in place. Now if I can just get discipline to follow….LOL
As I start a new year, I can’t help but reflect up on the daily mantra of a winner. This is who I want to become this year and this is the life I want to have. How about you? What are some of your fresh start actions this year?

Wise actions! I have always tried to keep my blog reads at a minimum….that allows for more opportunity in developing enriching relationships as opposed to “fluff and stuff”. I am just now getting the hang of bloglines!
It’s so much fun to read, I just realized I have to find a few new methods to control it!

I agree, it’s hard. There are so many blogs out there! I have been doing the same thing this morning, pruning my blog favorites back a bit.
I do have one suggestion… I have a folder in my bookmarks that is called favorite blogs, and another folder of blogs. That way I know for sure that i visit the ones in my fav folder as often as possible.
On another note… Pleaseeeee don’t cut me! I promise to visit more often,LOL! i have been a bad blogging girl lately, I have been a little lazy. Heck, I haven’t really posted that much except for meme’s… kind of a dry spell for me.
You can always tell the guilty from the innocent, the guilty ones are the first to be defensive *cheeky grin*
Keep
me
please?
*big puppy dog eyes*
You’re much too cute to cut my dear. ;o)

Getting up in thte mornign and starting my day, BEFORE the kids get up is so key to making my day run smoothly. Flylady, one of my favorites, says that should be one of the first babysteps to an ordered life, getting dressed everyday down to your shoes. I love the uninterrupted time I have in the mornings as well.
I have a friend who recently started blogging, TracyHurst.com, and she is getting the whole “Blog rabbit trail” that I was telling her about. There is just so much out there, you can literally spend all day on the internet.
Yup, and if you don’t remember to stop surfing and live you’ll run out of content for your own!! LOL
