Smartie Pants

Last week I was trying to catch up on a few of the household chores. I came downstairs and found this:

Now this may not look like much to the untrained eye, but let me explain. This is a display of my 4 year old’s problem solving skills. This was the prized motivation in the center of the kitchen island and the reason he went after the step stool which is as big as he is.

I couldn’t help but chuckle. I also couldn’t help myself from thinking how there’s a lesson in this simple act. How often do we find solutions to our own personal roadblocks? Today I’m working on defining a few of my own candy dishes and solutions. Thanks again little buddy for being the teacher. *wink*

  2. Great story, I can totally relate. The Princess has been moving chairs to get to the treats for a while now, I am thinking about how to bolt them to the floor…

I was just glad he’d gone for the chair over the typical monkey climbing!

  5. Yes, kids are very resourceful. It’s interesting to see how their minds work.

Wish mine still worked that well and that fast!

  6. It’s so amazing to follow their little “trails” and see what sort of amazing adventures they’ve
been on. I must say, those are some good genes that boy has! ;)

Yes it sure is! My kids never cease to amaze me.
