Link Love & Blogging

One of my favorite things about blogging is getting to know other people. Since the earliest days of chat rooms and community boards I’ve been constantly amazed at how close friendships can become with people I’ve never met in person, yet have so much in common with. Blogging picks up where those leave off and give you a chance to peek into other people’s lives and personalities as they share daily events, opinions and everything under the sun on their own blogs.

This morning I received such a nice comment from a new reader who heard about me from one of the first bloggers I met when I began blogging last year. Those types of referrals and shares are truly awesome to me. ;) Then I was tagged for a meme from another good blogging buddy and it was a perfect way to jump start my day and blogging mind. So here goes….

Wait! One more just came through - Go visit Dr. John!! He also sent me some link love over the weekend. He’s one of those that just nails the basics. ;)

  1. Thanks for playing along Holly! I LOVE Erasure. I heard one of their songs on the radio the other day and had to crank it up. Also, I can’t believe I didn’t say “travel” on my millionaire item, although I guess buying a beach home would take care of that!

I don’t know what I did prior to the Internet either. Hmmm, I probably had more time on my hands. ;)

    I can’t remember that far back….LOL

  2. Thanks for the nod in my direction. You do indeed meet a lot of different people when you blog. I don’t think I lnow the lyrics to five songs except for chuirch hymns. I marvel at what people know and do.

    You’re welcome, I enjoy marveling myself. ;)

  5. I didn’t know you lived in Idaho, which is next to my state of Oregon. We were neighbors. OK, now I’ve been tagged 3 times in 10 days. I think I will have to post more than twice a week to catch up.

Looks like we have a Heroes spinoff to entertain us for a few weeks this summer.

ROFL - you gotta love tags. This is like the adult playground - apparently some games we never grow out of…LOL Which spinoff? I was SO happy with the finale - closure with many possibilities - excellent. :D

  6. I so do agree. The blog is a fantastic arena to learn to know people from all over the world. And to read their stories about their lifes and family, work, friends, what they do etc. Without the classical medias “views” in their struggle for a larger audience.

    Great post

Isn’t that the truth? It’s the REAL voices of real people. I love it. ;)
