There you go with your pool again. We would really love a pool, but we could use it two months out of the year in the NW. What we need is a convertible pool. Push a button, and the pool pops out. Push the button again, and the pool is gone.

Thanks for the response to my comment! Your kids are real cuties; that lounging in the pool looks good to me! I learned to crochet first too (when I was REALLY little, from my grandmother) and then later to knit, but didn’t get addicted to knitting until my 40s. Actually, knitting continental style is easier if you crochet, since the yarn is held the same way. Start with cotton yarn, bamboo needles, and simple garter stitch to make dishrags; even if you think your stitches are uneven or your ends too loose at least you can use it and not feel wasteful by throwing it away.
