My daughter gets real excited the night before school too, but she also gets "scare" too...new teacher, new classmates. Luckily, she gets over the scary part real fast. <em><strong>Yes, I'm very grateful that she's at this point or this year would be stressing me out with morning routines and getting everyone to school on time!</strong></em> It’s nice your daughter is responsible enough to walk to school on her own (and she even waited for your phone call). Some mornings it would take us 20 minutes other times it would take us an hour. It's so hard to figure out what time to leave the house. The elementary school is a 10 minute walk for us.
