The Magical List of Outstanding Women Bloggers Part II

A few days ago I shared a list that was going around of what is now being called the W-List. Tonight as I was out visiting one of the newest sites that I found linking back to me I read this wonderful comment from the list’s creator and I thought it was something that should be shared:

“First off, thank you for welcoming the list and all those talented authors and thinkers in your online home. If you’d like to see interests, Elysa (my new personal hero) classified the list that way here http://www.genpink.com.

Someone also created a wiki of the list here http://wmagicallist.wikispaces.com

I have been humbled by the gift of each contribution to this list. One person at a time, you have all told a story about your readings and passions through the list. Please keep the momentum going. Go ahead and reach out to these fabulous people, find reason to work on a co-authored post or project together. There is so much richness and talent on this list!

Valeria Maltoni”

I don’t know about you, but that kind of warm response just made me feel great and I felt like everyone should have a chance to know the kind of woman who is responsible for this connecting project.

Here’s the most recent list:

The “W” list - a growing list of fabulous women bloggers - has been circulating around for the last few days. My thanks to Diane Danielson of The Womens Dish for including me as the list passed through her hands. I’d like to add a few of my blogging girlfriends - Ms. Place of Dishn’Dat, Trixie of Kora-in-Hell, Damselfly of Damsel-in-Progress, and Jinxie of Jinx!

  1. Hi Holly,
What has impressed me most is the way each woman who has passed on the list has added some positive thought to it. There is no rant, only celebration and dignity in the way the list has been made. As I look from blog to blog every woman has taken such care. It lets me know that the list is not a frivolous lumping together, but a true recommendation worth its weight in gold.

Thank you for being part of that.

That’s very true! Thank you for pointing it out. ;)

  4. Hi Holly, I happened upon your name in a post on Sk*rt, and obviously saw that you’re a Schwendiman. Me too! So with a name like that we are certainly somehow related! My Dad is Gary Schwendiman, his father was John L. Schwendiman that lived in Pullman, WA. You can email me at wsmar@yahoo.com, or check out my blog at www.wendysues.blogspot.com

What a fun find! I’m on my way to your blog. ;)

  5. This was such a lovely gesture to pass this on and share these amazing names with readers who may not have seen it before.
What a difference many of these women have made in encouraging other women, sharing their thoughts and enriching lives. I’m humbled that the Case Notes from the Artsy Asylum was included and hope to live up to the amazing company I find myself in!

I know exactly what you mean! :)

  8. The best part of the list for me has been all the new blogs I’ve been able to find as a result of it! With so many blogs out there it’s often difficult to sift through and find the real gems! I’m loving this!

I know exactly what you mean!
