Don’t Pass Go…Don’t Collect $200

…Just keep running around the board! That’s been my kind of week. I have so much I want to blog and no time to do it! Now the holiday weekend is here so I know I’m at least 3 days out from getting to any of it. But who can complain about a three day weekend?!

In the shorts of exciting news I became a blonde this week…no not mentally, physically. It was supposed to be a highlight retouch. Ummm….well….my daughter said it best:

“Whoa mom! What’d you do to your hair? It so does NOT look good, it is way too blonde.”

Here’s the past three day outlook:

This is the first time I’ve let someone else do color on me. I’ve always done my own. I was able to correct some of it last night - at least take down the golden yellow to a more blended light brown. Don’t you just love how the two tone comes out in the middle photo? Talk about a light and dark side…..LOL

See how much I’ve had to blog about and not a spare minute to be found….Argggg. Well, until Tuesday I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday weekend!

  1. You did a good “recovery” job! And now we know what you look like as a blonde. (Don’t you love the honesty of kids?) ;)

    Have a great holiday weekend!

Thanks Jamie, yes kid’s honesty sure has a powerful way of keeping you humble! :)

  3. Whoa-oh-ho!WOW. I think what you did to fix it looks way better! I like the warm tones the blond has now. :D

Yeah, now as it recovers I can slowly keep adding more dark back in. It sure was a wowzer though!

  4. I can’t get away with blond. I try and look like the walking dead.lol The touch up looks great!

LOL - Kat, I can’t picture you as the walking dead…But I’m with you on the dark being better for me!

  5. That third picture looks fabulous–you did a great job toning it down, though the lighting in the second makes it look more severe than it probably does in person. And maybe I’m off but I also like your color in the first picture–it looks so soft and pretty. Though blond is always fun :)

Thanks so much! I’m looking forward to getting more dark back in as I think it’s better for my skin tones too.

  6. Did you have to pay the person to color your hair? I would ask for a refund. The fix-up you did look so much better.

Thanks, it’s coming anyway! I do a straight trade for hair services with the friend who did it…she said “Wow, I got you a little blonde didn’t I?”

  8. Let me know if it’s true that blondes have more fun….I might consider a change myself because Pookie’s turning 13 this month! Will need some “fun” in my life. LOL

ROFL - I’m off to test that theory…LOL

  9. My wife sometimes experiment with colors too. One day she has black hair, next day it’s brownish with highlights. One day it’s long, next day it’s short. Of course, once it’s short, it can’t be long again in the near future.

Ahh - unless you have the money of the movie stars and do extensions. The possibilities these days eh?!

  10. Bah! Sounds like Cydnie’s about as politically correct as D;))

    You’re gorgeous, whatever color.
