I didn't think we would survive it...but we did. You kids thought that I had come across the plains with pioneers! But, I miss the sound of the spring water gurgling and the cickets at night. The sound of the cyotoe's howl. Play was whatever our imaginations could make up and how I loved the old radio hooked up to the battery and we would listen to our favorite programs. I could see the characters in my mind and their surroundings. The old lantern flickering in the night shadows. Yes, even our bath in the old tin tub. Now don't get me wrong, I love my electicty as well as the next one, and yes living without it does present it's own set of problems, but it can be done and I'm grateful to know that I could live without it, and have wonderful memories of a time long since gone, And, as you know, I'm not that old!! <strong>Ironically, Blake and I were just discussing your childhood and summers!
