It's truly as though the elements were in mourning as well. The skies darkened and the winds howled. There were road closures all over the place. Not a day here fit for man or beast. Our flag on campus is flying at half mast in rememberance of this great man. I like you am so sad but so happy, isn't that a strange combination? However, the saddness is for me, not for him. <strong>So true, the sadness is for us and I guess that's why I can't have a really long or good cry because there is so much joy, relief and happiness for the reunion aspect of his passing. Plus he was the most optimistic and happy fellow his whole life that you know he'd want you to smile for him.</strong> We had the most wild weather day here yesterday. I am feeling happy for him because I know he missed his wife. I am also feeling a litte uncertain about what happens next. I have never known a First Presidency without President Hinckley's involvement. I can't imagine him not being there to talk at conference. Hmmm....all about me! :) When my grandma passed away (35 years after Grandpa!) my uncle said he pictured him (Grandpa) meeting her with the lunch packed and the horses saddled because he hadn't ridden with her in a while. I just love that image of the reunion, picking up right where they left off! <strong>I know what you mean!
