I know a lot of people who should follow this rule. It would make the world a much better place.

So true! It's the little things we do or don't say or do that make the biggest difference.

But what will all those people who for the tabloids do? I can't believe writing partial truths about people is such a big money-making industry. What has happened to our society?

Crazy hugh? My hubby and I were just commenting last night on how those magazine covers have tanked and how skanky is now acceptable.

Here is an interesting poem about how much our name means. I think you have a good point when you say that it is more polite to refer to someone by their proper name. This poem reminds us that our name can take on many meanings. Your name is more than something people call you. Here is the beginning:

Each of us has a name
given by God
and given by our parents

Each of us has a name
given by our stature and our smile
and given by what we wear

Each of us has a name
given by the mountains
and given by our walls

The rest: http://israel.poetryinternationalweb.org/piw_cms/cms/cms_module/index.php?obj_id=3275

Thanks so much for sharing!
