Crashing and Recuperating
The crashing reference is for Blake’s work computer yesterday. To say it was a bad afternoon is an understatement. It just stopped, obviously some major hard drive failure. The only salvation is portable hard drives that contained most of his work in backup and having a testing Linux box that he could convert to get some work done last night. Needless to say we will NEVER by an HP or any other PC again. He’s been drooling over my iMac since I got it and the difference in performance, let alone graphics is unparalleled. I have high hopes that it won’t repeat the PC 2 year crap out pattern. Computer crashes really stink!
The recuperating is for our upcoming trip. Aside from still packing, finishing laundry, making those final marks on the “to-do” list before leaving town, and trying to wrap up lose ends I’m totally ready to go! *snort* Too bad being emotionally ready to go doesn’t spill over into being physically ready to go! I’m so excited for the kids. I love that their birthdays fall on our Fall Break schedule. Three years ago we went to Disneyland for their birthdays, this year we’re going to TX to visit family and take in Sea World, Six Flags and more. I feel like the kid on Christmas Eve full of anticipation for their fun!
And now you’re asking if I’m not ready to go what on earth am I doing sitting here typing on my computer for right?! *giggle, giggle, snort* Well, let’s call it a bad habit. And now I really must move on or that procrastination monster is going to devour me whole!
