Intellectual

I wasn’t sure I liked this title/word but then I read about intellect being an intelligence trait and the definition that an intellectual is one who tries to use his or her intellect to work, study, reflect, speculate, or ask and answer questions about a wide variety of different ideas, it seemed to fit.

Resume:
I love to read and study. I’ve written poems, some of which have been published, and consider myself a constant student in search of knowledge. I’ve been privileged to instruct teachers as well as be instructed by teachers. I believe that when you’re green you’re growing and when you’re ripe you rot. The goal is to never stop growing. My next education goal is to obtain a law degree.

Dearest Friend

I wish that I could roll back time
So many things I’d do
I’d start by cherishing every moment
That I spent with you
I’d slow things down and just enjoy
Being by your side
I’d take the time to hold you close
For now I realize
That time is short and all too soon
Our time on earth is through
And we return to loving arms
Those arms we all once knew
But there is truth that time well spent
Can never fade away
And though we’re separated for a time
Your influence remains
I thank the good Lord every day
For sharing you with me
You’ve blessed me more than you can know
My dearest friend, you’ll always be.
