Activities
A fun and easy activity for Christmas! 12 Days Gift Book
This is a booklet of black and white images the children can color, cut out and compile into a little reminder book of ways they can give 12 days of Christmas to their family and friends.
NEW!
Prayer Pockets:
These were a last minute creation when the store I was going to go to for prayer pillows didn’t have fabric anymore! You’ll need:
1 old jeans pocket
1 piece of ribbon
thread
2 buttons
Scissors
Markers
Misc. decorating aids (optional)
I let the girls cut around their pockets and helped them learn how to thread a needle, make a knot and sew on a button. We had a short lesson about how prayer is a form of communication like letters and how sad Heavenly Father must be when his mailbox is empty. I made some little cards for them to color to put in their prayer pockets that went along with the lesson, which can be found at this link.

Scripture Reading Chart:
I created this chart for the girls to color and then laminate. They were given a dry erase marker with some yarn to attach the marker to their chart for marking their progress. For a copy of this chart just click this link.

[...] Once and a while (okay pretty much consistently) I find myself getting down in the mouth about how much I’m not getting done that I wanted. Although I hear people say they wish for more hours in the day I see the divine wisdom in the 24 hour window. People like me wouldn’t know when to quit without some boundary! At any rate, when I find myself getting down or feeling like I’m on a treadmill instead of the track I find it helpful to review some of the recent accomplishments. The key is not to forget to note all the little things that I take for granted as common daily tasks. This morning I’m feeling pretty good about the past couple of days so thought I’d highlight a few things for future reference for myself. If you’re reading this maybe you’ll give the same concept a try and feel the boost for yourself. The past four days have been really good ones for me. Yesterday morning I got an entirely new file page completed with several files converted and uploaded in a very short time. This is fantastic when I consider that in the same time a few days earlier I only got this much done. This gives me a much needed boost to keep jogging with this project of file conversion, sharing and backup. [...]

Hi Holly,
My name is Tammy Pitts and I love your Activity Day forms
and would like to use them in our own ward but I was wondering
if there is any way that you can send me copies that we are able
to save on our computers and have access to change the
information on the forms? For some reason we can not delete or
change any information with the acrobat documents. Thanks for
the many ideas and for making it a little easier for a new
presidency to get things on track. Please let me know at
pittsahoy@yahoo.com.
Thanks for all of your help and have a great day!

Hi, I’m having the same problem as Tammy above. Is there any other way to access these documents? I am particularly interested in the Blank Calendar, but once I save it to my computer, I cannot add my personal information. Thanks so much! Suzie (suzieqmckeon@yahoo.com)

I love your blank calendar but can’t make any changes to the PDF file. Any tips you could help me with?
Thanks,
Kristen
HI Kristen, I sent you an e-mail. In short, the best suggestion I have is to use these blank masters as images or backgrounds in a new document in your choice of software. Then just add text boxes over the appropriate areas to customize fonts and information.
